From Jubitz Ponderosa Lounge to the Vancouver Sausage Festival to the White Eagle Saloon, Christine Young bridges the many faces of country music.

Since January of 2002, Christine has played regularly at Oregon's favorite Americana venues as well as the local straight-ahead country bars; Young delivers what the Oregonian newspaper describes as "Unbridled Country Rock". With her signature red cowboy hat and outlaw boots, Christine's musical style intimates what Nashville producer Mark Oliverius describes as a combination of Chrissie Hynde and Dwight Yoakam.

With such an array of stages, Christine has seen it all! From a money shower thrown by a lineup of burly truckers; to terms of endearments from drunk two-steppers and tush pushers. There have been parking lot solicitations involving cigarettes and sisters; then there is the proud new CD owner who doesn't even own a CD player; or the Charlie's Angels fan that skipped the movie because Young's music kept him captivated on the dance floor. No matter what the situation, Christine enjoys performing to the many audiences of country.

Realizing it was time to kick things up a notch, Christine relocated from her hometown of Portland, Oregon to Austin, Texas in June 2004. With two CD's already in her back pocket, Christine's musical vision is faithfully portrayed. The playful and fiery flavor of „Mischief really showcases Christine's honky tonk edge, "This Crazy Romance" maintains a strong rockabilly style that encourages the audience to get out on the floor and dance while "Lucky in Love" demonstrates Christine's ability to perform in a more traditional style. It is this variety and combination of different country influences that create Christine's "Nashville country style" as described by Sound Engineer Robbie T of Rock Creek Sound.

No matter what the night brings, Young doesn't miss a beat as she belts out hour upon hour of what she describes as „Full Throttle Honky Tonk." Her voice knows no limits and can sustain five plus hours a night of high-powered singing, keeping the audience out on the dance floor and leaving them begging for more! Her song writing touches on universal themes, and some topics not so commonly discussed. Never the less, she tells it like it is and isn't afraid to sing out.

Be it traditional or alternative, Christine Young delivers county music wrapped up tight in a wickedly fun package. Don't miss the unveiling at each night's show. It's good for the soul and your own hidden agenda.
